Dreamscape
by Sharmagne Leland-St. John
Alas!
They say
A dream upon awakening
Is shattered
Just like glass
And all that I remember was
My dreams were made of sand
Woven from the howling wind
In a foreign land
Like a tern above the clouds
On feathered wings I soared
Silence was never a part of me
And my oceans always roared
They tossed and turned and roiled
Above the murkey depths
Clad in gypsy tatters
Above the waves I wept
